Anxiety

Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. - Proverbs 12:25 (New International Version)

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. - 1 Peter 5:6,7 (New International Version)

Stop being anxious about YOUR souls as to what YOU will eat or what YOU will drink, or about YOUR bodies as to what YOU will wear. Does not the soul mean more than food and the body than clothing?; - Matthew 6:25

Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6,7

Who of YOU by being anxious can add one cubit to his life span? Also, on the matter of clothing, why are YOU anxious? Take a lesson from the lilies of the field, how they are growing; they do not toil, nor do they spin; - Matthew 6:27,28

A young man I used to be, I have also grown old, And yet I have not seen anyone righteous left entirely, Nor his offspring looking for bread. - Psalms 37:25

In time the messengers returned to Jacob, saying: "We got to your brother Esau, and he is also on his way to meet you, and four hundred men with him." And Jacob became very much afraid and grew anxious. So he divided the people who were with him, and the flocks and the cattle and the camels into two camps, and he said: "If Esau should come to the one camp and assault it, then there is certain to be a camp remaining to make an escape." - Genesis 32:6-8

Then he said to his disciples: "On this account I say to YOU, Quit being anxious about YOUR souls as to what YOU will eat or about YOUR bodies as to what YOU will wear. For the soul is worth more than food and the body than clothing. Mark well that the ravens neither sow seed nor reap, and they have neither barn nor storehouse, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more worth are YOU than birds?" - Luke 12:22-24

So, never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Sufficient for each day is its own badness. - Matthew 6:34
